Where have the last 6 months gone?

What?!?
The last 6 months have literally flown by.  In fact, it's almost been 7 months, but I've been so busy I haven't had an opportunity to update this blog. So I'm doing it now. Right now. At this exact moment. Mini-Cooper is now 6.5 months old. How about that for flying by? I had these grand plans to take a picture of the PJ's we brought Cooper home from the hospital in on top of the PJ's he's wearing now, but sadly I can't even get organized enough to do that, so you'll just have to imagine that he's much, much bigger. He's so big in fact that he's the same size at 6 months that McKenna and cousin Riley were at 9 Months.
Here are his stats:

Height: 28.5" -97%
Weight: 20lbs 2oz - 90%
Head: 20" - 95%

McKenna and Cooper love each other so much, they make each other laugh hysterically on a daily basis.  I hope this trend of love with out fighting continues... granted it's only been 6 months. Maybe the novelty of having a brother will wear off soon.
McKenna and John continue to have a special relationship.  She thinks he's awesome, and she usually listens to him... it's just me she pushes her boundaries with. Maybe we'll see a repeat of this behavior about the time she turns 14.

First things first... for those of you who know me well, I am not a huge fan of Halloween, however, if I have to dress my kids up, and I have my druthers, it'll be in something embarrassing so that I can use the photos as blackmail in their senior yearbook ad or their wedding slideshow.  One has to plan ahead. So this year was the first year McKenna had an opinion about what her Halloween costume should be.  Needless to say, I was  disappointed after the last 3 years of these gems:

So at least I got my way with Cooper this year, because he was too young to protest:

And even though I wouldn't have picked this in a million years, McKenna looked pretty cute as Minnie Mouse:

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for the CU vs. USC game a couple of weeks ago.  We had a really great time, and the kids enjoyed hanging out with them. Sadly we didn't get any pictures of McKenna with them, but that was probably due to the fact that she kept convincing Grandpa to take her on walks around the neighborhood.  They were never around when the camera was out.  Here are some pictures from the game and our pregame tailgate.  My mom is the one in the picture below dressed like Harry Potter:

Here are a few shots of Cooper with Grandma and Grandpa:

That's all for now. I'm sure there will be more to share soon :-)
